A valid license code is now required for this software; those without a serial can no longer use the trial version. We would like to thank Autokitchen for not only granting us with a free copy of their Pro version of their software, but also granting us with a valid license code to install it with. Autokitchen 7 Pro was originally created by Dirk Heisig and the product has been updated every year since 2007. It has been rated as one of the top demos on all of CNET's site and is very simple to use due to its drag-and-drop interface. The interface is very similar to Windows Explorer, where you can open each folder and view each file inside the folders. Each recipe has a set of tools, which can be displayed or hidden by a click on the “Show Tools" button on the top of the window. The tools are listed as follows:The following tools are available from the "Setup" menu:In addition, it has support for WinZip and 7-Zip archives, ZIP files, ISO images and BIN/CUE image files. In addition, Autokitchen lists many command line options that allow the end user to change settings of Autokitchen on the fly. Autokitchen can also create ISO images, which are used by software like MakeMKV and VLC to play DVD video files. Autokitchen can also create BIN/CUE image files, which are used by Autofs to mount CD-ROMS. One of the nice features is that Autokitchen supports subfolders under the source folder or subfolders under the destination folder. This feature is very useful when working with DVDs, where you may want to put all your movie files in one folder and then burn that entire DVD into a single folder on your hard drive. Another nice feature is that it creates a list of files to burn on the right side of the window. This makes it very easy to see what you are burning and how much space it will take up on the CD. A simple search function is provided that allows you to enter in any word or phrase. After you find what you are looking for, clicking on the Search button will bring up all files containing the word or phrase listed in your search. If you want to copy or move multiple files at once, simply hold down SHIFT while selecting each file individually, then release SHIFT once all desired files have been selected. The program works very well with videos. It creates file names based on the video file, like "SCMR0031.VOB" (scene 3 minute 31 second). It will create all the necessary files to burn the video to CD. The program also supports batch files, which allow you to automate tasks using text commands. This is very useful for compliance with Windows policies or roles that require non-interactive tasks like install programs or remove programs. Autokitchen has no real main menu; instead there are all kinds of sub-menus depending on what item is selected in the window. eccc085e13
